Description

The Program Analyst is responsible for the support of multiple modules through research, troubleshooting, and testing. This Analyst will provide advanced computer troubleshooting of modules written in a variety of programming languages. The Analyst will be required to participate in design and coding of modules or applications to improve efficiencies in troubleshooting.

Essential Functions: In addition to working as prescribed in our Performance Factors specific responsibilities of this role include:

  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to self-manage projects and work load
  • Ability to interpret instructions presented in both written and oral form
  • Ability to analyze and interpret technical procedures
  • Logs and tracks issues from customers in our customer relationship management (CRM) system in accordance with team policies
  • Stay current on system functionality
  • Provide advanced computer troubleshooting of products and modules
  • Load fixes, that have been approved, to customer system with assistance
  • Work with Systems Analysts, Product Managers, and Engineers to convert market requirements and functional specifications into technical specifications
  • Ensure that the modified and/or newly created application components interact appropriately, data conversion impacts are considered, and other areas of impact are addressed
  • Participate in quality reviews and ensure traceability of the application design changes to the requirements Participate in quality reviews and ensure traceability of the application design changes to the requirements;
  • Analyze and design enhancements and fixes to application code
  • Participate in design and coding of applications
  • Complete all appropriate technical documentation required to maintain the application
  • Participate in software testing and technical specification reviews as needed
 
Position Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

Education/Experience/Certification Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer programming with experience in C, C+, Java, .NET
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent customer services skills, including phone etiquette.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication, and verbal presentation skills.
  • Excellent computer skills including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Advanced experience in computer programming with experience in C, C+, Java, or .Net
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL (structured query language)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Five years of experience programming for the healthcare field.
  • General understanding of HL7 and how interfaces work.
  • Familiarity with the operations of a healthcare facility.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of SQL (structured query language).
  • Possess good language skills with the ability to write reports and business correspondence.
