Description

The Inventory Manager will be responsible for new vehicle inventory management, allocation, and logistics across national sales network. This role will coordinate with logistics team for finished vehicle movements, allocate inventory as required to distribution hubs and retail locations. This role will manage showroom and test drive fleet allocations, supply planning and sold customer vehicle planning.

RESPONSIBILITIES & KEY ACTIVITIES:

  • Manage inventory of new vehicles including internal fleet across sales operations nationally.
  • Support regional managers with inventory allocation, distribution, and logistics.
  • Develop and manage inventory management solutions to support order, allocation, forecast, and planning.
  • Coordinate the critical elements of order fulfillment processes by aligning forecasting and ordering methodologies to maximize production efficiency.
  • Deliver operational metrics and regular insights to the business; define and deliver techniques to improve the sales funnel performance for sales management.
  • Support the sales team by providing analysis and reports that foster process improvement, measure, and track progress, and provide relevant analytics to their functional areas.
  • Maintain continuous communications with the Director of Sales Planning & Operations, Logistics and other key stakeholders supporting new vehicle sales.
  • Provide guidance, planning and execution of the final mile deliveries in coordination with finished vehicle logistics team.
 
Position Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience
  • 5-7 years’ experience in vehicle distribution operations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with success in working across organizations at all levels
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects, effective project planning in terms of resources, strategies, cost, and time with ability to meet project timelines.
  • Strong computer proficiency in MS Office applications
  • SAP, DMS, TCMS experience required
