As a Software Engineering Architect you will report to the Director, Engineering and work to define the architecture and design roadmap of NetSPI's flagship Penetration-As-A-Service (PTaaS) platform. Product-based experience is required. Responsibilities: Provide technical leadership and consultations to the engineering team. Engage in technical sessions with the team with a view to growing the overall exposure of the team to the technology and domain landscape. Perform research activities and proof-of-concepts for new feature ideas and new technologies Perform feasibility analysis and feature comparisons for potential tools and technologies for incorporation into the product/system/process. Hands-on development of important features and foundational parts of the product Work with the engineering manager/director for producing high level effort estimates for new features and user stories. Collaborate with product management to clarify and concretize product requirements Work with the lead architect to refine and align the architectural roadmap with the product and engineering roadmap Work with the developers to translate product requirements to designs and work items Technical Requirements: Bachelor's degree in computer science and engineering or other engineering branches plus relevant software engineering experience is required. Master's degree is a plus. 10-13 years of experience that demonstrates a progression of increasing responsibilities. Hands-on development experience required. Prior architectural experience is a huge plus. Proficient in Java based technologies, and should have worked with a multitude of languages and tech stacks. Database design, data modelling. Skilled in RDBMS and Advanced SQL. Preferably PostgreSQL. Frontend/UI experience is a plus. Should have worked with cloud services (AWS preferred). Experience with CI/CD, container technologies such as Docker and contain orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes Should have worked in the information security and/or vulnerability management domain.
