Description

A leading underground construction company needs a Human Resources Manager to provide strategic leadership and guidance to our growing company. Reporting to and under the direction of the Human Resource Director, the Human Resources Manager would oversee all human resources functions including benefits, employee relations, and compliance. This role ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws, and personnel policies.?The Human Resources Manager serves as internal consultant to management and employees.

HYBRID ROLE

  • Salary Range: $87,000 - $105,000 (based on experience)
 
Position Requirements

Responsibilities:

Including but not limited to:

  • Meet and communicate regularly with company leadership to discuss personnel needs, disciplinary actions, and performance management;
  • Provide employee relations support and guidance to management while working through complex employee situations including employee discipline and terminations;
  • Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resources federal and/or state requirements such as DOL, FMLA, ADAAA, EEOC, FCRA, and HIPAA; conduct investigations; maintain records; and represent the organization at hearings, if necessary;
  • Conduct investigations associated with all employment relations issues and maintain complete accurate records;
  • Responsible for the communication and administration of all benefits related to the Company;
  • Assists in the review, preparation and administration of the organization's wage and salary, and career development programs;
  • Coordinates management training in areas such as interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety, and sexual harassment;
  • Operate with the highest level of honesty and integrity;
  • Protect the legal, financial, and moral well-being of the Company;
  • Demand the highest ethical standards from self and others:
  • Set an example of outstanding attendance, positive attitude, professionalism, including orderly and safe work environment;
  • Foster communication and culture across the organization;
  • Develop and implement supervisory training program on personnel and labor policies;
  • Perform other projects and tasks requested.

 

Job Requirements

  • B.A./B.S. with a minimum of 8-10 years progressive HR experience, in the construction industry – preferred
  • Professional certifications a plus;
  • Bi-lingual Spanish – preferred
  • High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation;
  • Industry recognized HR related certification – preferred;
  • Ability to effectively communicate oral/written with personnel and company leadership.
  • Must have the ability to work independently, maintain positive/enthusiastic attitude and present a professional image;
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong proficiency in Windows environment and MS Office; particularly, Excel and PowerPoint
