Part-time - Up to 29 hours per week, Monday - Friday between 8:30a-5p
$18.73/hr.
Since 1971, Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board has provided a comprehensive continuum of high-quality, essential, and community-based services to citizens of the Peninsula who are affected by mental illness, developmental disabilities, and substance use disorders.
The Part-Time Human Resources Specialist performs various administrative tasks relating to talent management and Human Resources department support.
Duties will include:
- Answer phones, greets visitors and complete clerical tasks.
- Assist with various reporting requirements.
- Enter confidential employee related data into HRIS, assist with filing and employee file management.
- Assist with the regular administration of employee screenings and department assignments.
- Other various assignments.
Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field and two (2) years of HR experience or five (5) years of related experience. Position requires excellent customer services and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and HRIS systems.
As a condition of employment with Hampton – Newport News CSB, you are required to provide proof that you are fully vaccinated for COVID 19 or fit within an exemption under the law. The selected candidate must successfully pass a criminal history fingerprint background investigation, DMV record check, Child Registry search, drug screening test and employment reference checks.
