Description

Adventure Summary

The purpose of this position is to provide facility maintenance and grounds support to sustain the Brownells property, ensuring a world-class first impression for visitors and guests, as well as a clean and safe working environment for all employees. You will lead the groundskeeping efforts and support the Facility team in general maintenance and custodial services.

What You Will Do

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Sustain grounds of Brownells property, to include lawn care tasks (weeding, watering, seeding, planting), as well as snow removal/ice treatment as needed
  • Perform general facility maintenance service and repairs, to include light electrical and plumbing duties
  • Assist in creating preventative maintenance plans, procedures, and schedules
  • Participate in facility inspections and work orders as assigned
  • Maintain general upkeep of warehouse workspace and shop
  • Perform setup/teardown for special events
  • Assist custodial staff as needed

 

Other Duties & Responsibilities

  • Inventory maintenance of consumable supplies
  • Ensure hazardous materials are stored in compliance with safety procedures
  • Ensure exit/exit routes are accessible and cleared
  • Keep supervisor informed of any concerns/observations regarding facility upkeep and maintenance
  • Support safety initiatives as assigned
  • May be required to maintain an after-hours on-call status for emergencies
  • May be required to work weekend or overtime hours as determined by special event schedules
  • Other duties as assigned to support the facility and assets within

 

What You Will Need

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in general facility maintenance and/or groundskeeping
  • Trade school certificate(s) in electrical, plumbing, maintenance preferred

 

Knowledge & Skills

  • General knowledge of facility maintenance and repairs
  • General knowledge of groundskeeping
  • Excellent customer service and effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Strong time management skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to follow instructions with little or no supervision (written and verbal)
  • Ability to work independently
  • Able to prioritize and multi-task
  • Able to acquire forklift license
  • Must be able to work around firearms
  • Safety conscious and diligent in observing surrounding activities

 

Physical Demands

Medium work. Medium work involves lifting no more than 50 pounds at a time, with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
