  • Work with the programming support manager and developers to resolve end user software
  • problems, usually via database queries and updates.
  • Escalate issues to developers or architects as needed to ensure timely resolution.
  • Work with developers and architects to ensure understanding of new software functionality.
  • Help the programming support manager understand common employee software problems, needs and priorities.


  • Uses SQL to write queries and perform data updates, or learns quickly based on experience with another relational database language.
  • Handles a high volume of support requests with accuracy, attention to detail and process adherence.
  • Handles frequent distractions and changing priorities.
  • Maintains a friendly, positive and helpful attitude.
  • Accepts feedback and adapts to a changing environment.
  • Builds build trust from others by keeping commitments and adhering to high ethical standards.
  • Learns quickly and solves problems.

  • BS or Associate degree in computer science, code school training, or experience in a software support or development role.
