This position will provide support to individuals experiencing a psychosocial crisis in our Crisis Bed Program and support our partnerships with York Regional Police, York Region Paramedics (The Regional Municipality of York), Kinark Child and Family Services, and Behavioral Support Services as a referral source. Day, Evening and Weekend Shifts   Position Requirements Bachelors degeree in Social Work or related discipline (i.e. Health Sciences) Minimum three years related experience Knowledge and practice of short-term urgent response, psychosocial rehabilitation approach and advanced clinical, crisis and assessment skills are assets Experience working with individuals having a serious mental illness is essential Crisis skills for adults and children experiencing a mental health crisis are desirable Completion of CPI, CPR and ASSIST training as per agency guidelines Experience and knowledge of the criminal justice system is an asset A second language is considered an assest Knowledge of the local service system is essential The successful applicant will be required to provide a police clearance that meets agency standards A valid G Driver's lincense, use of a reliable vehicle and appropriate insurance for business purposes are required for this position     Full-Time/Part-Time Part-Time   Position Crisis Response Worker   Close Date 8/7/2022 12:59:00 PM   Number of Openings 1   Location Newmarket   EOE Statement At YSSN, we're committed to providing a healthy, safe and respectful workplace where diversity and inclusive approaches are recognized assets.
