Development Coordinator Job Description

Part-time, 20 hrs/wk

Compensation $21.00 - $25.00/hr

PAI is a day program offering an array of services and opportunities for adults living with developmental disabilities who want to design lives they love. Our mission is to engage participants in meaningful connection and activities within the community and the world.

As one of the Twin Cities' leading providers of services for adults living with disabilities, PAI is seeking a Development Coordinator to support fundraising and communications efforts from our White Bear Lake headquarters. You will enjoy GREAT flexibility with your 20 hour per week schedule. This position is perfect for a qualified person who wants to build experience or candidates in this field specifically seeking part-time work.

PAI's Development Coordinator will support campaigns that prompt engagement and garner successful revenue results. This position will provide a high level of service in cultivating donors and prospects through constituent and list management, stewardship, and direct marketing. The Development Coordinator supports annual appeals, special events, gift processing, donor research, and database management, reporting, and analysis. This position also contributes to various functions of communications, outreach, and select strategic initiatives. All activities will be directed and supervised by PAI's Development & Communications Manager.

Essential job functions:

  • Support and coordinate fundraising programs for non-major donor targets and audiences.
  • Develop mailing lists and segments for contacts and prospects using internal and external resources.
  • Coordinate donor mailings and digital campaigns.
  • Provide timely and accurate gift processing, receipt production, and donor acknowledgments.
  • Enter, update, correct, and maintain donor contact information, ensuring data is managed responsibly, donor privacy is protected, and activity and gifts are recorded accurately and efficiently.
  • Help develop and post content for social media posts.
  • Assist in the coordination of special events and volunteer activities.
  • Co-manage production of promotional items.

  • Systems-oriented, and creative and critical thinker.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize, meet competing deadlines, and match work process and needs to solutions.
  • Results-oriented and motivated to meet or exceed individual and shared goals, and to support others in doing the same.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and contact management systems.
  • Verifiable experience working with nonprofits, volunteers, base-building, or loyalty programs.
