This position ensures a safety-conscious culture and that department employees are familiar with and are following all safety rules and regulations. This position also promotes the Company’s Core Values. Responsibilities Organizes the offload of incoming trucks in a timely manner Separates and organizes all loads as they are unloaded Sample, process and mark all containers as directed and according to ERC permit and process Immediately segregate oil, water, hazardous materials, and rejects to their designated areas as directed Assist the processing of all materials Properly dispose of all recyclable materials (drums & cardboard) Cut and dispose of all plastic drums & totes Assist with cleanliness of the ground, walls, equipment, tools, and facility Abide by ERC policy with breaks, overtime, and days off. Notify your Supervisor of any changes Be mindful as to equipment/building damage Assist with the loading of all needed materials Communicate to all departments any flow stoppage Ensures all areas are neat, clean, and safe Ensures the proper equipment is in the correct trailers Cleans all internal empty trailers PM22     Position Requirements Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Preferred Previous forklift experience Strong ability to multi-task, prioritize and adapt to shifting priorities Proficient problem solving and decision-making skills and the ability to think independently   Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to hear, speak and write/keyboard. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.
