Campus Safety Officer

The Campus Safety Officer will (or oversee)

  • Monitor and control campus access

  • Create and control Google calendar to accurately track visitors to campus

  • Coordinate and communicate all activity with the security team

  • Work with the health and safety coordinator as well as other administrative staff to ensure the safety of students, staff, parents and campus visitors, and ensure the security of campus facilities

  • Assist staff, police, and emergency personnel in handling emergencies or disruptive situations

  • Salary Range $24- $30 per hour

Position Requirements


  • High School graduate or equivalent

  • Previous police, military or security experience

  • Valid P.O.S.T. certification or CCW preferred

  • Valid driver's license and motor vehicle record must meet established standards

  • Good written and verbal communication skills

  • Computer skills including experience with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook, Google Docs and Calendar

  • Must have First Aid certification or obtain within 90 days of hire

  • Must be able to walk and patrol inside and outside in all types of weather conditions when required

  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
