Description

We are currently looking to fill an immediate opening for a team of Area Managers for our Salt Lake and Pleasant Grove district. If you have management experience, are looking to make a positive impact on the National Forests and are passionate about taking care of your camp hosts and guests, we encourage you to apply! 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Provide team support, supply logistics, financial reporting, and training for employees who function as camp host, maintenance support, etc.
  • Maintain and test drinking water systems in our facilities.
  • Where required we provide training and certification.
  • Be the primary contact with local permit administrators.
  • Arrive early in the season to get equipment ready to open the area and stay late to close down the water systems etc., for the season.
  • Ensures and takes appropriate action for the proper maintenance of all property equipment.
  • Follows a routine preventative maintenance program.
  • Ensures the safety of guests and employees.
  • Communicates efficiently and timely with management through email and/or voice mail. GTM and video conferencing will be required.
  • Ensures prompt, safe and courteous service to all guests. Resolves guest disputes in a diplomatic consistent manner as developed by management.
  • Be a willing member of Urban Parks Concessionaires, performing all duties and functions as assigned to the best of his/her ability.
  • Always performing the job in a safe manner and following the company Injury & Illness Prevention Program.
 
Position Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • Must be bondable.
  • Must have a clear background check
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License with a clean 3-year history and no DUI convictions in the past 10 years.
  • Personal flexibility in terms of working weekdays, weekends, holidays and evenings seasonally as needed. During the peak season, long hours will be necessary.
  • Reliable transportation
  • Team building and customer service skills are a must.
  • Basic accounting and maintenance skills

Preferred:

  • Recreation/resort/hospitality experience but will consider other property management experience.
  • Most AM job positions are best suited for a couple to work as a team to cover their duties.
  • We prefer to hire campground Area Managers who have at least 3 years of successful experience

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT:

The Area Manager will use various tools and equipment on a daily basis. Footwear required shall be a work boot or a high-quality leather shoe providing ankle support. No open toe sandals or flip-flops are allowed on the job. Protective guards shall be required for all appropriate occasions: including gloves, goggles, galoshes, masks, long pants, and long sleeve shirts according to the nature of the task. The Area Manager will be knowledgeable about the safety practices and standards set by the company, relative to the work environment he/she operates in. He/she will also make it a duty to assure that all co-workers are working with those same safety practices and standards.
