Position Bookkeeper  

Peabody Properties, Inc. seeks an experienced Accounts Payable Bookkeeper. Responsibilities include but are not limited to, the accurate and timely processing of all invoices, and bank reconciliations. Duties will include resolution of past due balances and discrepancies. Real Estate/Property Management experience is key.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Processes invoices accurately for payment on computerized system
  • Resolves past due balances and discrepancies
  • Complete bank reconciliations for assigned properties
  • Communicates in a professional, courteous manner at all times with Supervisors, site staff, coworkers and other Senior Staff
  • Completes written correspondence/memos, etc. accurately and in good grammatical form and professional format
  • Shows initiative and attention to detail in bookkeeping responsibilities; brings areas of concern to the attention of Supervisor
  • Follows instructions promptly and accurately; or when in doubt will ask for clarification immediately
  • Maintains organized files and assures files are neat and legible
  • Takes on additional property workload when requested
Position Requirements
  • Requires High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of 2-3 years bookkeeping experience working independently in a fast paced environment.
  • Good verbal and written communication. Familiarity with Windows based accounting applications, MS Word and Excel. Strong analytical, organizational and problem solving skills.
  • Knowledge of RealPage Onesite software a plus or 2+ year’s comparable experience.
