This position can be part-time or full-time. It can be temp (for 1 year), temp to perm, or permanent.
Care Specialists are needed for a Caregiver Services Program that supports caregivers and their families throughout the five boroughs of New York City with a focus on providing language-appropriate and culturally sensitive services to members of the Asian-American Community.
The Care Specialist is an integral part of the team, assessing the needs of the caregiver/care receiver, developing and implementing care plans, arranging supplemental and respite services and providing the individual and group supportive counseling to caregivers in both of their Manhattan and Queens' office facilities.
The full-time work schedule is Monday through Friday, 35 hours/week (9-5), with occasional Saturday work to attend outreach events (frequency is once every 2-3 months). Currently social workers are working in their office 3 days/week and 2 days/week remotely. In-home assessments are currently not being done except for rare occasions.
