Job Description

Interactive Government Holdings, Inc. is looking for a SAS Developer to join our team located in Washington, DC (currently remote). This position will support one of our Federal Civilian clients, providing services across all technology areas from desktop to server to storage and must have extensive SAS programming experience. Position Requirements

Major responsibilities include (not all inclusive):

  • Provide Business Analytical Services encompassing the following activities: ad-hoc reporting, routine reporting, data mining, statistical analysis, and GIS/Mapping
  • Develop ad-hoc reports to include data extraction, creating datasets, data tables, and data graphs or charts
  • Develop routine reports are those that are known and definable in advance. Routine reports include, but are not limited to: data extraction, creating or modifying datasets, creating or modifying data tables, and creating or modifying data graphs or charts
  • Support continuity of operations and transferability of routine reports, PD&R requires some routine reports to be created or modified using a specific statistical or database program. These include SAS, SPSS, Microsoft Access, and Microsoft Excel
  • Support continuity of operations and transferability of data mining results, PD&R may require use SAS Enterprise Guide, SAS OLAP Cube Studio, Microsoft Access, or Oracle SQL
    Support of operations and transferability of statistical analysis results, PD&R may require to perform statistical analysis using SAS. Whenever feasible, perform statistical analysis in any computer program capable of performing such analysis
    Support continuity of operations and transferability of GIS/Mapping results, PD&R may require use the ArcGIS suite of software products, including ArcMap and ArcCatalog
  • Support data mining activities to include extracting data, detecting anomalies in a data, detecting groups or structures in data, and summarizing data with single and multi-dimensional tables
  • Conduct statistical analysis to include calculating standard summary statistics such as mean, median, mode, standard deviation, and standard error; performing analysis of variance; performing sampling; performing regression analysis

Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in SAS programming, including SAS/Base, SAS/EG, SAS Macros, SAS/Graph and SAS/SQL
    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar
  • Proficient in SAS programming, including SAS/Base, SAS/EG, SAS Macros, SAS/Graph and SAS/SQL
  • Proficient with data management, including: extracting data, cleaning, and merging multiple data sets; organizing, sorting and
    filtering data in order to distinguish patterns and recognize trends; conducting descriptive analyses based on needs of the project;
    summarizing complex data to easy to read formats
  • Demonstrates ability to lead a task and provide guidance to peers in the stages required to automate a work process
  • Proficient with the American Housing Survey or a demographic or household survey of similar size and complexity
  • Proficient with the American Community Survey or a demographic or household survey of similar size and complexity
  • Excellent written and verbal communications
  • Solid interpersonal skills -- with both customers and co-workers
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple responsibilities
  • Public Trust clearance, this requires an extensive background and credit check
