Description

The St. Joseph County Juvenile Day Treatment Program (JDT) is an opportunity for youth on Juvenile Probation to remain in the community and with their families. While at JDT, youth participate in educational services to maintain or recover school credits. Youth also participate in individual and group therapy, learn coping skills, and life skills at JDT. JDT is a structured, non-lockdown program that provides support, accountability and monitoring to assist in youth's success on Juvenile Probation.

Under the supervision of the Juvenile Day Treatment Supervisor, the Juvenile Day Treatment Monitor assists in oversight, instruction and behavior management of committed youth. JDT Monitor facilitates a positive learning environment to help equip youth with academic growth, social skills, anger management skills, and coping skills. JDT monitors are leaders with high-integrity, passion for delinquent youth, and a dedicated team-member.

 
Position Requirements

An Associates's Degree and/or experience in behavior management in an education or juvenile detention setting is highly desired.

Potential candidates must have a passion for working with youth and able to provide accountability and mentorship of youth.
