Service Contract Specialist

Position Summary:


This crucial role supports our Service team. You will provide support in administering domestic and international service contracts with Sciton customers. The Service Contract Administrator is responsible for working directly with customers, inside sales and field personnel to secure maintenance service agreements for capital equipment

This position works in a very fast paced environment where a high volume of work is processed and minimal errors are expected


In This Role, You Will

  • Assist with preparation, review, and administration of service contract proposals, including contract renewals and warranty conversions.
  • Communicate with domestic and international customers the service provided to clients.
  • Assists Inside Sales, Customers, Field Service Engineers, Sales Representatives and Credit Department personnel regarding service agreement pricing, inquiries, problems/complaints, etc
  • Generate Service History Reports when requested by customers and/or field management
  • Manage service contact records, including order/termination dates, type of contracts, payments records, etc.
  • Monitor progress of current service contract conversion rate and recommend and implement methods to improve conversion rates.
  • Create regular status reports regarding progress on projects
  • Negotiate and approve contract terms while ensuring that projects remain within the established budget
  • Ensure that all records are accurate and up to date
  • Write contract letters and other communications and notices
  • Organize service contract data and generate trends for management review.
  • Interface with customers and create promotional material to increase contract renewals and warranty conversions.
  • Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
  • The ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
 
Position Requirements

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or technical field preferred
  • Working knowledge of capital equipment service contracts or Medical Device service contracts. 
  • Has Strong negotiation skills
  • Has previous experience in customer service and strong communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and Word
  • Enterprise solution software familiarity is a plus.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, highly organized, creative, enthusiastic, and capable of staying under control with pressure from multiple ongoing projects.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Flexible, with the ability to multitask. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
