JOB SUMMARY

Product support of Cabin Electronics products.  This includes addressing the resolution of manufacturing and field related problems, evaluating and developing design and process improvements, addressing component sourcing and obsolescence, and conducting qualification and verification testing associated with design changes. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

The key performance objectives for this position are described below:

Support Innovative Power Systems. The successful Electrical Engineer will leverage their skill and experience to support electrical power products. This role will participate in addressing the resolution of manufacturing and field related problems, evaluating design and process improvements, addressing component obsolescence, and conducting verification testing associated with design changes. This position will support products with AC-DC, DC-DC, DC-AC power conversion, magnetics design, PCB layout, and EMI filtering.

Position Requirements

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or other related bachelor’s degree required from a four-year college or university.
  • Five years related experience, preferrable with electrical design of power supply products.
  • Advanced understanding of analog, digital and power electrical/electronic circuits, with understanding of design and test of magnetic components preferred.
  • Familiarity/experience using embedded software (C, C+++), HTML scripts, and software life cycles.
  • Familiarity/experience with DO-160, Boeing, and/or Airbus EMI, power quality, and susceptibility requirements, including all environmental aspects of qualification for FAA compliance to Federal Regulations is preferred.

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Washington State, Astronics AES is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to Washington State and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

At Astronics AES, compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $102,687 - $183,004.  Pay grade represents our Sr to Staff level Electrical Engineer pay grades.
