Description

Adventure Summary

The purpose of the position is to enhance customer relations by working to resolve issues related to product, service, billing or delivery via all communication channels.

What You Will Do

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Able to perform all responsibilities of a Customer Service Representative
  • Responds to customer calls, emails, chats, faxes with a high level of proficiency
  • Tends to and resolves escalated order issues
  • Works with carriers to resolve shipment requests or issues
  • Partners with Fulfillment/Floor techs orders are filled accurately
  • Communicates order status to customers when inventory shortages and cancelations occur during fulfillment
  • When working remotely, ability to provide adequate internet speed and a quiet, professional, and ergonomic office space free from distraction and/or frequent interruptions
  • Works on special projects as assigned by Contact Center leadership

What You Will Need

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent required, Associate degree preferred
  • 3+ years call center experience or similar customer service role required, or equivalent education
  • Availability to work a 40-hour rotating schedule, including every other Saturday
    • Week 1: Tuesday thru Thursday 9:30pm – 6:00pm, Friday 9:00am – 6:00pm and Saturday 9:00am – 5:00pm CST
    • Week 2: Monday thru Friday 9:30pm – 6:00pm CST

Knowledge & Skills

  • Ability to communicate professionally both verbally and in written form to internal and external customers
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including data entry, highlighting, sorting, saving or ability to become proficient within 60 days of hire
  • Proficient in Microsoft Teams, including attending meetings, sharing screen, accessing Channels and navigating files, answering calls, responding to chats or ability to become proficient within 60 days of hire
  • Ability to effectively use multiple web-based programs, with expectation to become proficient within 60 days of hire
  • Desktop computer skills required, ability to navigate multiple screens and software programs
  • Ability to accurately type 45+ words per minute on a computer keyboard
  • Basic understanding of Brownells products and website required

Physical Demands

  • Sedentary work. Sedentary work involves lifting no more than 10 pounds at a time and occasionally lifting or carrying articles like docket files, ledgers, and small tools. Although a sedentary job is defined as one which involves sitting, a certain amount of walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required occasionally and other sedentary criteria are met.
