Position Summary:

$21/hr

As a Reservations Sales Agent at Edgewood Tahoe, you play a leading role in generating revenue for the lodge. You must be able to follow a sell strategy as determined by revenue management, listen to and communicate effectively with a wide range of guests, sell the experience, and input detailed information in the PMS/Navis systems accurately and efficiently. You assist a guest in creating an engaging memorable experience at the resort by offering and providing information on all amenities available to them. Essential Functions:

  • Emanate our Mission-Lake Tahoes premier lakefront resort providing a world-class guest experience that inspires lasting memories.
  • Respond to and process all incoming reservations and correspondences from various sources including but not limited to phone, email, OTAs, central reservation systems referrals, and hotel departments.
  • Arrange hotel services as requested by guests including dining, excursions, golf tee times, spa services.
  • Prepare letters of confirmation and itineraries for reservations.
  • Properly follow the sequence of inputting the reservation as defined in the department SOPs.
  • Properly classifies all reservations as it relates to market codes, market segments, source codes, and other relevant business code as defined in the department SOPs.
  • Follow the sell strategy as determined by management.
  • Process all cancellations and reservation modifications.
  • Stay up to date on inventory availability as well as the selling status, rates, and benefits of all package plans.
  • Understand the hotel's policy on guaranteed reservations and no-shows.
  • Familiarity with areas of interest to assist guests in planning their Lake Tahoe experience.
  • Process and monitor advance deposits on reservations.
  • Prepare expected arrival list for front office use.
  • Other duties as assigned. Responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without notice.
 
Position Requirements

Qualifications / Special Skills:

  • Reservations sales experience or prior work experience in a professional office environment preferred.
  • Experience in luxury guest service environment.
  • Excellent phone skills, ability to multitask and have a passion for service and hospitality.
  • Proficient with computer systems.
  • Available to work varied shifts when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights.
