Turning Point Community Programs is seeking a Data Entry Clerk for our Core Rosin program in Sacramento. SUMMARY:  Responsible for entering data into computer  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Employees with disabilities must meet qualification standards that are job-related and consistent with business necessity and must be able to perform the “essential functions” of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.   • Enters alphabetic, numeric, or symbolic data from source documents into computer following format displayed on screen.
  • Compares data entered with source documents, or re-enters data in verification format on screen to detect errors.
  • Deletes incorrectly entered data, and re-enters correct data.
  • Compiles, sorts, and verifies accuracy of data to be entered.
  • Keeps record of work completed.
  • Files hard copies of data in appropriate source documents.
  • Tallies totals of entries as required.
  • Collates zip slips and other CATS data as required.
  • Maintains binders as required for hard copy data.
  • Obtains requested data from CATS system.
  • Maintains currency with training support by county CATS personnel.
  • Is personally responsible and held accountable for work hours and time management.
  • Provides support to other staff members as needed.
  • Attends all staff meetings unless approval for non-attendance is secured by the Office Manager.
  • Adheres to and upholds the policies and procedures of Turning Point Community Programs.
  • Meets the standards set for performance in all aspects of job duties.
  • Meets the standard for consistent attendance (not more than a 5% absence rate per month) by reporting to every scheduled shift on time and ready to work and by the judicious use of paid sick leave and avoiding any situations resulting in the need to dock pay for time not worked.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

Compensation: $ 17.00 - 18.04 per hour

Position Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSES

Education, Training and Experience

A typical way of obtaining the knowledge, skills and abilities outlined above is through graduation from High School or completion of an accredited GED program and one (1) year performing a variety of office duties. Must be able to type 40-50 wpm and use a word processor.

Licenses; Certificates; Special Requirements:

  • California driver’s license & current vehicle insurance/registration
  • Reliable means of transportation capable of passing vehicle safety inspection if more than five years old excluding all modes of two-wheeled transport inclusive of bicycles, mopeds and motorcycles.
