We currently have a Communications Coordinator position available at Community First Health Centers. The ideal candidate for this role will have excellent written, verbal and presentational skills, high attention to detail, excellent interpersonal and customer service skills and demonstrable experience with social media platforms. This position requires a person that is able to work independently and with minimal guidance and represents the agency in a positive and professional manner. Under the supervision of the Human Resources Director, the Communications Coordinator, will typically work at our Algonac facility located at 555 St. Clair River Drive but must be willing to travel to our othe locations if necessary.

This is a full-time, 40 hours per week position.

Hours will be gained Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.

General Responsibilities/Essential Functions

  • Prepare and assist with distribution of program information to the community.
  • Responsible for the management and execution of social media communication strategy.
  • Coordinate public relations interaction with community.
  • Develop and present education materials or appropriate community and internal events.
  • Create and evaluate marketing campaigns including brochures, print and digital advertisements.
  • Coordinate community and employee event participation.
  • Conduct analysis to identify community needs and develop strategies to address those needs compatible with Agency’s mission.
  • Continue to develop and implement brand recognition.
  • Promote and maintain awareness of Agency programs, services, and activities through social media and other relevant platforms.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual UDS report.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or related field required.

AND

Relevant experience.

  • Must maintain Basic Life Support certification.
