Under the direction of, and reporting to the Plant Manager, the Extrusion Coating Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations, quality, development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of all systems related to the extrusion coating process in accordance with company policies, procedures, and goals.
Identify process capabilities, future improvements, and equipment capacity needs.
Coordinate and budget for current and new equipment evaluation and installation.
Oversee Extrusion process budget and cost reduction activities.
Provide technical support to Sales Team and Product Development.
Coach, guide and develop employees on the performance of their work.
Oversee employee functions to include hiring, promoting and disciplinary issues.
Lead an accountable team through development, metrics and improvement of processes.
Ensureure process training program success and accuracy to include cross-functionality needs.
Maintain an adequately skilled workforce consistent with planning requirements. Provide instruction and guidance to staff and maintain a close connection over all operations of the shifts.
Growth Perform Succeed (GPS) documentation of all direct reports.
Development and engagement plan of employees.
Oversee/lead in customer complaint investigation related to the process.
Accuracy of process procedures and assistance with maintaining documents.
Provide backup support for product quality and support decisions.
Responsible for the process communication system to ensure over-all manufacturing needs.
Ensuresure policies and procedures are followed to meet company objectives.
Ensuresure all safety systems are followed.
Pursue education as needed to elevate the process.
Perform other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Strong technical knowledge of extrusion coating/laminating and/or related functions.
Strong computer and analytical skills.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
Ability to actively listen to customer and plant issues, efficiently troubleshoot problems and implement solutions in a timely and customer-focused manner.
Demonstrated analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
5-7 years of coating process experience required.
2-4 years of previous leadership experience preferred.
