Job Summary:

Under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Human Resources and Recruitment, theRecruiter is responsible for assisting in the companys recruiting and talent acquisition methods and strategies. TheRecruiter will be responsible for identifying qualified candidates through various recruiting and sourcing strategies and setting up interviews. Will be responsible for facilitating the movement of candidates through the recruitment process, including posting job ads, initial phone screenings, scheduling interviews, and the pre-boarding process. Will act as a liaison between MHS and job candidates.

Duties:

  • Source candidates through multiple sources including internal applicant tracking system (ATS), job boards, Professional Associations, colleges/universities, LinkedIn, social media, and other resources.
  • Document candidate activity in ATS.
  • Responsible for full life cycle recruiting for part-time, non-exempt positions across multiple job sites.
  • Build rapport and develop and maintain talent pools for networking of prospective candidates.
  • Assesses candidates to ensure qualification match, cultural fit, and overall compatibility for site requirements.
  • Consult with managers to determine staff requirements and specific job objectives.
  • Completes candidate hiring/onboarding processes in accordance with MHS requirements.
  • Conduct initial phone screens.
  • Coordinate drug tests and background checks.
  • Complete appropriate reference checks on candidates to ensure the authenticity of stated skills & experience.
  • Contact new employees and prepare new employee orientations.
  • Prepare new-hire paperwork ensuring regulatory requirements are satisfied.
  • Maintain a complete record of interviews and new hires.
  • Stay up to date with current recruiting methods and strategies.
  • Attend job fairs and career events.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required. Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Solid customer service background and a flexible "can do!" attitude.
  • Strong multi-tasking skills and the ability to follow through with an appropriate sense of urgency.
  • Ability to prioritize and complete projects with deadlines.
  • High volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Solid knowledge of customer service best practices.
  • Must have a strong desire to build a career in recruiting by using proven negotiating and closing skills and the ability to build candidate relationships.
  • Desire to be on the phone the majority of the day screening candidates and building relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • 1-2 years of proven work experience as a Recruiter (preferred).
  • Familiarity with the entire recruitment lifecycle (preferred).
  • Knowledge of recruitment software and database systems (preferred).
  • Ability to conduct interviews (e.g. structured, competency-based and behavioral conversations).
  • Familiarity with HR databases, applicant tracking systems or candidate management systems (preferred)
