Patient Access Professional provides support to daily Pharmacy Operations and other clinical areas of our Davenport Medical Clinic. Responsibilities:
- 340B Compliance:
- Maintain Current Knowledge of 340B Eligibility Regulations
- Review 340B Contract Pharmacy Claims for Eligibility
- Participate in 340B Compliance Team
- Assist in the training and development of CHC staff on 340B Regulations/Compliance
- Walk-In Clinic Coordination:
- Check-In and Intake of all new and existing patients utilizing the RD Walk-In Clinic
- Department specific tracking and reporting to Operations Manager
- Rounding and maintenance of waiting room
Experience/Certification Required:
- Patient Intake experience required
- Ability to utilize different data management tools effectively (responsible for running claim reports from different contract pharmacy systems to do auditing)
- Ability to obtain/maintain Iowa Board of Pharmacy Support Person registration
- Successful Completion of 340B University within 6 months of hire (Apexus) Successful completion of 340B Operations Certification within one year of hire (Apexus)
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Major third-party payor regulations including Medicaid and major group insurance carriers.
- Resources available to our patients that can be utilized before the sliding fee discount.
- FQHC guidelines and the application of the sliding fee schedule based on federal guidelines.
