POSITION SUMMARY: Under general supervision of the Controller, responsible for managing the accounts payable and cash deposits for the organization.

POSITION-SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Accounting Functions:
    • Maintains the processing of invoices daily:
      • Obtains authorized approval on invoices in a timely fashion.
      • Inputs invoices in Sage 100 so as payment will be made to vendor before or on due date.
      • Verifies that CHC policies are being followed concerning invoices, credit card usage and expense reports.
      • Monitors vendor statements as they come in to verify CHC is current in payments.
    • Process all cash bags daily from River Drive, Dental, Rock Island, Moline, East Moline, Clinton, Edgerton and Pharmacy.  Maintains a spreadsheet on all locations tracking dollar amounts collected, discrepancies, and audits.  Sends reports monthly to Clinic Managers, Pharmacy Manager and Leadership with results of tracking.
    • Implements, maintains and continues to strive to improve the accounting internal control function.
    • Assists Accounting Manager with special projects as needed, including budgeting, productivity analysis, forecasting for growth opportunities, cost reporting, UDS reporting, etc.
    • Cross-trained in processing the deposit.
  2. Maintains detailed knowledge of accounts payable computer program. 
  3. Demonstrates an understanding of CHC's mission statement and Standards of Behavior in performing all aspects of this position.
  4. Utilizes AIDET and 5/10 rule to ensure excellent patient experience, every patient, every time.
  5. Demonstrates a caring and helpful attitude when interacting with patients, vendors, and fellow employees.  Strives to build cooperative partnerships, by treating each person both inside and outside of the organization as a customer.
  6. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other clinic personnel. 
  7. Handles confidential information with tact and discretion on a need-to-know basis as specified in CHC’s Personnel Policies.
  8. Participates in maintaining departmental continuous quality improvement.
  9. Follows established policies and procedures for safety, infection and exposure control.
  10. Participates in mandatory CHC meetings and training sessions as necessary.
  11. Performs other duties as assigned.
