Share Email Opening Title Accounts Receivable Specialist- Bilingual  Description Wyandot BHN is seeking a dedicated Bilingual Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our central office team! Using an aged accounts receivable report, the Accounts Receivable Specialist audits and performs collections for accounts as assigned with outstanding balances for all insurance. This position reports activity on a regular basis as designated. The Accounts Receivable Specialist additionally Re-files for services when payment is inadequate and reconciles accounts that are inaccurate. Essential Job Duties: Audit accounts as assigned on an aged accounts receivable report for all insurance’s that are over 30 days past due. Perform and complete the collection process for these accounts through researching the client account/files and communication with appropriate staff and payors. Make notes regarding the action taken. Report results of collection activities to the Accounting Service Manager weekly. Identify and correct client accounts that have inaccurate transactions. Identify unacceptable payments and/or rejections and process subsequent resubmission of claims or adjustments to be made. Prepares claims for Medicaid, Medicare and third party insurance as assigned. Cross-trains in all areas of Accounts Receivable, Billing and Collections necessary to obtain a working knowledge/understanding of all areas of the billing and collections process. Complies with all relevant organization policies and procedures.   Position Requirements Job Requirements: Education: High School Diploma or equivalent experience required. Experience: Relevant data entry experience. Experience in or knowledge of computerized accounting system. Knowledge of the billing and payor system of receivables in a medical insurance environment (i.e., contractual feels and adjustments, timely filing requirements, etc.). Skills & Abilities: The ability to speak Spanish fluently is preferred, but not required. Ability to communicate effectively with third party payors, client, staff and consumers. Ability to maintain confidential nature of work.
