Our comprehensive cardiology group is expanding and looking to add to our team.

Cardiac Solutions utilizes a personalized, team-oriented approach to patient care promoting wellness through education, innovation, and technology. Our focus helps to prevent the progression of heart disease and minimize patient hospital admissions. We offer intensive educational opportunities for patients through our disease management clinics and employ a multidisciplinary approach which includes physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, pharmacy support, medical assistants, and additional clinical and non-clinical support teams.

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for efficiently scheduling, rescheduling, and canceling office appointments. The position will register new patient accounts and all necessary patient information per department protocols and procedures.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

  • Schedules, cancels, and reschedules patient appointments for routine office visits, consultations, testing, referrals, and follow-up visits.
  • Documents all vital information pertaining to the appointment in the additional registration tab within patient charts.
  • Condenses physician’s schedules as needed.
  • Completes patient orders and removes flags.
  • Schedules incoming referrals from other outside referring providers.
  • Retrieves daily voicemails and returns calls as defined by departmental protocol.
  • Directs incoming calls to appropriate departments as needed.
  • Works and completes daily tasks as assigned.
  • Registers new patient accounts and activates patients in the patient portal.
  • Other duties as assigned or requested.
 
Position Requirements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Knowledge of HIPAA & OSHA regulations
  • Knowledge of medical insurances
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to work in a fast paced-environment and work well under pressure
  • Ability to work effectively with others.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism at all times.
  • Skill with working with multi-line telephone system

 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of one (1) years’ experience in front office, centralized scheduling, or call center in a medical
  • Detail oriented.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Medical terminology and EMR

  • May need to assist patients by assessing the situation and providing or seeking in office or outside assistance while exercising appropriate body mechanics.
