Customer Support Specialist - Security Systems

Electronic Security Systems powered by LaForce has an exciting opportunity in our Security Systems Department as a Customer Support Specialist. This position will provide support and direct assistance to customers and internal stall to improve the level of customer service, sales, and technical support to all external and internal customers.

Major Responsibilities

  • Answer Help Desk phone calls and/or email requests from customers to help resolve issues with courteous and effective phone communication skills.
  • Assist sales with quoting and pricing of security integrated systems and electrified hardware, including assisting with entry and completion of sales orders.
  • Assist field technicians via phone when they call with questions on orders.
  • Coordinate with customers, vendors, subcontractors, general contractors and end-users on projects.
  • Assist company personnel with questions on security integration products/services and/or troubleshooting.
  • Assist sales with lead generation, helping build overall sales for the department.
  • Other miscellaneous responsibilities as assigned to assist with department needs.


  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or Associate's Degree with one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and understand architectural specifications, floor plans and wiring diagrams is helpful, but not required (ex: Revu Bluebeam).
  • Mechanical, low voltage and software aptitude and experience with electrified hardware, access control, video surveillance, alarm systems and intercom systems is a plus.
  • Professional telephone, customer service and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects with strong follow up skills.
  • Be a self-starter, work with minimal supervision.
