The Expeditor must combine recipe knowledge, leadership, and timeliness so as to result in a complete and joyful dining experience for guests. Being a Fifth Group Expeditor requires the individual to take on significant leadership responsibility. Their primary responsibility is to coordinate the flow of dishes coming from the kitchen as well as insure that each plate is prepared, presented and timed perfectly. It requires a high degree of conscientiousness, accountability and professionalism. Expeditors must be calm under pressure and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining confidence, composure and ensuring the dishes leaving the kitchen are paced appropriately and of the highest quality. They must be able to adjust their communication methods to interact with front and back of house personnel as well as guests. They must be detail oriented and driven to exceed the guest's expectation. Product and Procedure Knowledge: We value learning and growing. We are inspired by and foster creativity. Maintain thorough product knowledge of all menus, ingredients, and preparation methods. Uphold Fifth Group standards of quality and freshness. Acts as the liaison between the kitchen and the service staff in a high pace, multi tasking environment Monitors progress of orders to ensure the kitchen is on track with timeliness standards. Consistently helps servers execute the 14 Elements of Connected Service. Knows and follows all applicable City, State and County food safety standards. Knowledgeable of FGR restaurant concepts and personnel Possesses the ability to work in Support Server role Operations: We demand quality and are committed to profitability. Acts as the final quality check to review all dishes on an order and ensure that they are aligned with FGR standards before allowing them to be presented to guests. Runs food to guests, whenever necessary. Completes all assigned sidework, opening/closing duties, duration duties, and weekly cleaning projects.
