About the Role

We are looking to add a Technical Support Specialist to our growing IT team! This is a great opportunity to get immersed in one of the fastest growing careers. You will work with a team to help support 3 different sites and 150+ employees. This position will report directly to the Network Administrator and will be responsible for supporting the technology needs of internal staff, office setup, and providing remote and onsite support to users. The Technical Support Specialist will apply proven problem solving, customer service, and communication skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve end user issues. The Specialist will also install and configure software on the employee PCs and laptops as well as creating and updating documentation. Basic knowledge of Windows operating system will be required.


  • Provide helpdesk technical onsite and remote support through our ticket queue, phone, and email support
  • Support ticket queue by addressing incoming support tickets and understanding when to escalate issues to appropriate team members
  • Create and maintain support documentation
  • Responsible for tasks associated with user onboarding and offboarding
  • Responsible for computer system setup, upgrades, and troubleshooting
  • Assist with user application support and troubleshooting
  • Set up workstation area for users, including new employees
  • Troubleshoot printer issues and provide printer support
  • Assist with updating and maintaining inventory for computer systems, peripherals, and miscellaneous IT systems hardware
  • Assist with providing training to userbase on use of systems and applications
  • Performs all activities in a manner consistent with Alliant’s core principles
  • Other duties as assigned



  • 2-year technical degree in a related field
  • 1+ years of technical support or internship experience
