We are looking for a tenacious, results-focused Account Manager to develop sales strategies, identify potential customers, and enhance and maintain relationships with existing customers for all aspects of our San Diego operation, including hazardous waste disposal, transportation, and field services (vacuum truck services, pressure washing, tank cleaning, etc.). The successful candidate will play a key role in increasing Company revenue by managing and negotiating with clients, generating leads, qualifying prospects, and managing sales in the Southern California Region.
About the Role
- Manage a well-developed pipeline of potential customers at amounts to exceed revenue goals
- Identify viable leads, manage prospects and acquire new, profitable customers to meet and exceed established targeted revenue goals
- Build long-term relationships with contractors, prospective and existing clients in designated market.
- Help customers select services based on their needs, specifications, and regulations
- Emphasize company features based on analyses of customers' needs and technical knowledge of company capabilities and limitations
- Answer customers' questions about prices, timelines, and logistics
- Negotiate prices and terms of sale and service agreements
- Prepare sales contracts and submit orders for processing
- Collaborate with colleagues to exchange information, such as selling strategies and marketing information
- Follow up with customers to make sure they are satisfied with their services and to answer any questions or concerns
- Lead staff-wide effort to develop proposals to submit competitive bids to RFP’s
About You
- Minimum 5 years of sales experience in CA managing multiple accounts in a diverse set of industrial fields (ideally, hazardous waste disposal, transportation, and field services.
- Knowledge and experience of performing job walks and cost estimation in the environmental field
- Able to plan and manage large contracts in an efficient manner
- Working knowledge of federal and CA state hazardous waste classifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Decision-making, problem resolution, and creative thinking skills
- Responsible, and professional team player
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and Contact Relationship Management (CRM)
- Experience in Industrial Environmental Field Services a plus
- 40-Hr HAZWOPER certificate and annual 8-hour refreshers a plus
