Talent Relations Coordinator 

Description

The Academy Museum of Motion Pictures furthers the understanding, celebration, and preservation of cinema through inclusive and accessible exhibitions, screenings, programs, and collections. Welcoming visitors from Los Angeles and around the world, the Museum works in active partnership with motion picture artists and specialists, scholars, staff, and diverse communities to contextualize and challenge dominant narratives around cinema, inspiring discourse, connection, joy, and discovery.

Reporting to the Manager of Talent Relations, and working closely with the Special Events team, the Talent Relations Coordinator will provide administrative and onsite support in addition to working in close partnership with other Museum teams (e.g., Film Programs, Education, Exhibitions, Marketing, Communications, and Digital Media) on special projects. The role requires strong organizational and database skills as well as strong interpersonal skills for on-site logistics, hosting, and tours.

You Will:

  • Track active talent requests in team database.
  • Handle talent travel requests, itineraries, and logistics (including flights, hotel accommodations, and car service).
  • Update Salesforce with representative information.
  • Process museum and program ticket requests.
  • Coordinate with the Health and Safety team on talent testing logistics.
 
Position Requirements

You Have:

  • A combination of college and work experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in PR/Talent Relations.
  • A commitment to diversity, equity, accessibility, and inclusion.
  • Software and database experience including Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Airtable, Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Studio System, IMDBPro, and other programs.
  • Familiarity with key Social Media platforms.
  • Experience working with diverse audiences and partners.
  • Excellent organization skills and an eye for detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to perform a job with discretion and professionalism.
  • Ability to successfully build and maintain relationships.
  • A commitment to confidentiality.
  • Ability to perform consistently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and with larger teams.
  • Flexibility to work night, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
