Position CMA at Physician Offices  

Assists the Physician/Nurse Practitioner in performing office examinations. Administers prescribed medications, simple treatments and therapeutic procedures as directed by the Physician/Nurse Practitioner. Gathers patient information and conducts limited assessment as required. Performs related technical tasks that support and complement the Physician/Nurse Practitioner. All duties are performed under the direction of the Physician/Nurse Practitioner. Performs clerical functions related to front office responsibilities. Registers patients, answers phones, checks patients out, takes payments, and maintains medical records. Communicates with individual patients, providers, payers and other office staff. Performs all patient account billing and collection functions. Prepares appropriate bank deposits. Assists with clerical and filing duties of the billing and collections department as needed. Performs duties as instructed by the Physician/Nurse Practitioner or management that are in guidelines of individual office.

Position Requirements


Requires high school diploma or equivalent. Also, completion of an AAMA or NCCT accredited training program or equivalency of current work related experience.



Must be certified by AAMA or NCCT. Must be current in CPR.



Computer experience is required. Six (6) months of clinical experience and physician’s office experience preferred.
