This position routinely performs maintenance services on all Company property and buildings and plant equipment while observing regulatory requirements and Company safety policies and procedures.   Responsibilities Performs work with minimal supervision; selects from written instructions and established procedures to accomplish assigned tasks Stick and mig weld, torching, plasma cutting, etc. on steel and aluminum  Reads and understands labels of chemical solutions and cleaning products used in various cleaning and servicing procedures Performs tank and vessel clean outs as needed or directed Inspects all facility areas and grounds for overall cleanliness Creates and maintains accurate records on all cleanings and ensures delivery to the proper location upon completion Develops a basic working knowledge of equipment used in performing assigned duties Conducts safety checks on all equipment Performs work within Standard Repair Times (SRTs). Maintains a clean, organized and safe work area while performing the job and after the work is completed Maintains regulatory compliance with Company safety guidelines and OSHA standards. Ensures all personal protective equipment is used as required for the job General plant maintenance/clean-up Performs other duties as required. PM22   Position Requirements Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age Ability to obtain Confined Space Entry training within two weeks of hire Ability to speak, read, and understand English for comprehension of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) chemical information. 2+ years' experience in general electrical, welding, mechanical, plumbing, pump, and building maintenance. Prior experience with Forklifts, manlifts, and scissor lifts.   Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to hear, speak and write/keyboard. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.
