Share Email Opening Title IT Systems Administrator  Description General Responsibilities Responsible for managing a group of applications for the various departments. Responsible for Level 2 support, coordinating Level 3 support with software providers, performing application upgrades, user access management and planning. This is a hands-on role with the scope of establishing a stronger software practice. Essential Duties 1. Collaborate with Technology and Business users to maintain required Service Levels on the set of applications assigned. 2. Provide Level 2 support as Subject Matter Expert for the set of applications assigned. 3. Coordinate with Vendor's experts as part of Level 3 support as needed. 4. Work directly with Software providers to keep track of application releases and develop an application upgrade schedule to keep our software up-to-date. 5. Communicate with users new software functionality included in the software releases or upgrades and apply relevant configuration changes. 6. Actively monitor for software vulnerabilities and work with vendors to apply necessary patches as needed. 7. Ensure all activities follow proper SDLC practices including testing. 8. Actively participate in the User Access Management process by executing required onboarding and off-boarding procedures. Conduct quarterly User Access Reviews for the set of applications assigned. 9. Develop best practices and operating procedures to support sustained operational efficiency. 10. Work with IT Management and Business Users to develop a roadmap for the set of applications assigned and track its execution. 11. Collaborate with relevant personnel to provide information for IT audits and examinations.   Position Requirements Basic Qualifications Education/Training: A B.S. or B.A. degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent. Skill(s): Collaborative team player with strong cultural awareness; Ability to manage complex problems; Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences; excellent interpersonal skills. In-depth, practical knowledge of software applications, databases and application security. Demonstrated ability to manage adversity and challenging situations; Results orientation and willingness to commit to a direction and drive operations to completion. Ability to work flexible hours as needed. Experience: A minimum of five (5) years’ experience implementing, upgrading, and managing software applications in Financial Services or a combination of relevant practical experience and equivalent education.
