Share Email Opening Title GIS Specialist   Location CA Offices   Category Environmental Consulting   Description LSA is seeking a GIS Specialist. This position is responsible for performing GIS activities using Esri's ArcGIS software suite. Specific duties include GIS project management, creating and publishing maps, spatial data creation using geodatabases, ArcGIS Online data creation and organization, Field Maps set-up, performing KMZ, AutoCAD, or Microstation to GIS data conversions, digitizing, geo-referencing, data coding and cleaning, performing a variety of administrative tasks, performing internet and journal literature searches, and assisting with the GIS technical writing and submission of proposals. This position is remote, though the candidate should live within California and ideally be able to be physically present on a once-per-month basis.   Position Requirements Bachelor's degree in Geography, Computer Science, Environmental Studies, or certificate(s) in GIS. Candidate needs to have demonstrated GIS skills and knowledge, as well as the ability to prioritize and complete multiple complex tasks. Prior AutoCAD and/or Microstation experience are a plus, as well as experience in Python or .NET.
