Description

Under the direction of the Senior Manager Behavior Supports/Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) will assist in delivering high quality Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services and practices to individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder or other disabilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Assists the Senior Manager Behavior Supports (BCBA) in implementing ABA behavioral programming in a 1:1 setting.
  2. Collects data in-situ on all programming and writes accurate progress notes.
  3. Adheres to OVs established policies and procedures.
  4. Observes confidentiality and safeguards all patient related information per HIPAA Guidelines and Company Policy.
  5. Immediately reports any patient incidents or concerns to supervisor.
  6. Effectively communicate with parents and caregivers regarding client progress.
  7. Maintains acceptable attendance status, per OV policy.
  8. Demonstrates effective time management skills.
  9. Accept and apply performance based feedback.
  10. Demonstrates sound judgment, critical thinking, and decision making.
  11. Adheres to the Professional and Ethical Compliance Code outlined by the BACB.
  12. Abides by the RBT Ethics Code outlined by the BACB.
  13. Provide ABA services as identified on the individual treatment plan.
  14. Performs other duties as assigned.
 
Position Requirements

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Ability to communicate effectively with individuals, co-workers and supervisors (verbal and written).
  • Must possess social perceptiveness to assess and understand other’s reactions and behaviors.
  • Computer savvy: knowledge required including, but not limited to, Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills. Ability to work under strict deadlines.
  • Ability to resolve multiple complex issues simultaneously while remaining calm in stressful situations.
  • Must possess initiative and work well with others in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to perform work duties independently and be flexible.
  • Business acumen; maintains professional boundaries with children and families.
  • Ability to openly communicate with supervisor regarding caseload, productivity, issues/concerns, and leave time

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Required: High School Degree or equivalent.
  • Required: Holds a RBT Certification and maintains ongoing training to ensure compliance with renewal of RBT certification with BACB.
  • Required: Must be registered as a RBT with the State of Nevada Aging and Disabilities Service Division (ADSD) prior to hire.
  • Required: Must have valid Nevada driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, ABA or related field.
  • Preferred: Previous experience collecting live data.
  • Preferred: Previous experience participating in function behavioral assessments.
  • Preferred: At least one-year experience delivering services to children.

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand, and walk for prolonged periods of eight (8) hours or more.

  • Must be able to twist and bend at the waist.
  • Must have manual dexterity and visual acuity to type frequently, operate office equipment, read and write frequently, and examine documents.
  • Must be able to climb stairs and ladders as needed.
  • Must have ability to tolerate stress
  • Ability to travel for appointments in the community.
