General Description: The primary roles of the SDET/QA Engineer is to streamline the testing process through the implementation of QA tools, automation, process improvements and system improvements.
Qualifications: BS in Computer Science and/or 3+ years in QA Engineering.
Suggested Prerequisite For: QA Manager, Senior QA Engineer
Deliverables
Scalable and performant test automation frameworks and scripts, providing required test coverage
Robust testing platform, data and environment, automated set up and tear down
Low defect density software releases, own formal QA approval of releases
Automation Testing integrated into CI/CD
Documented and established QA processes
QA guidelines for the project teams to follow
Software releases on time and within scope, including production software and test tools
Clear, concise, and complete test cases and documentation
Test coverage analysis, QA postmortem and improvement initiation
Execute test scripts and manual tests
Activities
Crafting, implementing, and executing test plans and test suites?
Implement and maintain QA tools and test automation including test data and environments
Run the deployment process across multiple environments?
Train project teams on testing process, tools, and QA best practices
Create documentation, test scripts and test automation for repetitive tasks and existing test cases?
Collaborate with Bas, Software Developers, and Internal Support Team to keep software projects on schedule
Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases
Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
Run web testing and bug/feature verification testing
Guide testing focus and effort of project teams and test teams
Identify, record, and thoroughly document defects
