We currently have a Maintenance Technician position available at Community First Health Centers. The ideal candidate for this role will be thorough with a practical mind and attention to detail, able to troubleshoot and repair general maintenance of the building and grounds. The position requires a person that is able to work independently and responsibly by observing all health and safety guidelines. The goal is to maintain the buildings and grounds in the best possible condition.

Under the general supervision of the Chief Financial Officer, the Maintenance Technician performs maintenance and repair functions at all CFHC locations. This is a full-time; 40 hours per week position. Hours will be gained Monday through Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm.

General responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance and repair functions of building and grounds at all CFHC locations. including but not limited to HVAC systems, sprinkler systems, plumbing and sewer, office furniture, landscaping, windows, generators, spackling, and painting.
  • Arrange for purchase of necessary materials to accomplish assigned tasks.
  • Safely and effectively use equipment and materials.
  • Monitor and report equipment concerns and malfunctions to supervisor.
  • Maintain facility security system with minimal assistance.
  • Attends meetings as needed.
  • Must participate in quality improvement activities
  • Schedule and manage subcontractors as required.
  • Coordinates and/or assists with departmental and employee moves.
  • Transports goods and equipment as assigned.
  • Repair locking systems on doors, desks, and file cabinets.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

Job Requirements

Education and/or Experience

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).

AND

Experience with healthcare maintenance preferred.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in all matters.
  • Must be familiar with OSHA requirements and regulations.
  • Capability to interface and maintain effective relationships with all programs, agencies, and intra-Agency personnel.
  • Must be available to respond to agency needs to complete required maintenance and repair functions (may be required to be on-call)
  • Detail oriented, logical, and methodological approach to problem solving.
  • Flexible, with the ability to work independently and with minimal guidance.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, to deal with a diverse group of patients, staff, customers, and community groups effectively and tactfully.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Must maintain Basic Life Support certification.
