We provide support services and advocacy to 400 adults and children and their families in Harford and Cecil Counties. The Arc supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to create lives that mirror yours and mine: students attending neighborhood schools, adults going to work and living in their own homes, and individuals enjoying the social and recreational opportunities in their communities. We are a private, non-profit local chapter of The Arc of Maryland and The Arc of The United States, the largest volunteer organization in the world devoted exclusively to improving the quality of life for all adults and children with developmental disabilities.

Description

Position Summary:

The Community Partners Supervisor is responsible for developing and managing a service that results in individualized community-based activities for participants (based on individuals' beliefs, interests, preference, and support needs). The Supervisor ensures that service design and implementation, maximizes participants' full inclusion in the community; optimizes use of community supports and resources, participants' natural support networks and assistive/adaptive technologies; utilizes community networks and networking skills to create opportunities for full inclusion; and develops and optimizes staffs' key skills and talents toward producing outcomes. The Supervisor also coordinates effectively with both internal and external parties to ensure consistent, timely and open lines of communication.

Position Responsibilities:

In a manner consistent with supporting The Arc NCR Mission Statement the Community Partners Supervisor

shall do the following:

Quality Team Members

  • Collaborates with agency leadership on coaching, performance improvement plans, and overall support and guidance to team members ensuring equity, care, and compassion
  • Interview applicants and recommend for on-boarding
  • Meet new team members during orientation week
  • Ensure Peer Training schedules are submitted to HR during the week of orientation
  • Ensures team members understand their role, expectations, and all policies and procedures during peer training
  • Ensures team members know and use tools and techniques that maximize use of resources in providing quality supports and developing community resources
  • Ensures all routes and daily activities are assigned, filling in when needed
  • Schedule and ensure attendance of monthly team meetings
  • Facilitate and oversee all team member status changes and transitions
  • Engages in a minimum of 1 site visit per week
  • Attend monthly Leadership meeting
  • Works effectively and cooperatively with the Human Resources department to ensure agency personnel policies and procedures are followed and takes necessary disciplinary action to ensure team members are held accountable to those policies
  • Reviews training deadlines with team members to ensure they avoid suspension
  • Review Safety Alerts from HR and ensures team members sign and complete needed trainings
  • Reviews GPS Alerts from Transportation and schedules team members for corrective action, when needed
  • Maintains confidential and accurate records for supervisees (i.e., attendance, goals completion, performance evaluations, etc.) and completes required documents in a timely manner
  • Reviews and approves weekly timesheets in Ascentis
  • Reviews and approves weekly mileage forms
  • Participates in PCP signing meetings
  • Participates in mediation meetings with team members and HR
  • Conducts monthly 'touch base' with team members and documents in emPerform
  • Provides regular and frequent feedback on performance to supervisees and provides mentoring and skill development training to improve and enhance performance
  • Completes termination meetings/calls with HR Manager as necessary

Quality Supports

  • Responds to QE reviews by the deadline given
  • Ensures that the individual's plan is conducted as outlined in the written plan, programs, schedules, and other documentation
  • Review PMOF book to make sure that current PMOF and/or scripts are available
  • Develops and maintains mutually beneficial relationships with community members and organizations which result in achievement of service and participant goals
  • Monitors crisis situations, discusses incidents with authorized staff and individuals, and facilitates the adjustment of supports and the environment as needed while complying with policies and regulations
  • Reviews and approves activity schedules to ensure adequate supports are maintained
  • Develops, maintains, and effectively uses information management systems to evaluate service and program outcomes and standards.

Financial Excellence

  • Reviews goals documentation to ensure support of billing
  • Reviews the accuracy and timeliness of tracking and recording attendance
  • Reviews monthly expenses and reconciles monthly petty cash
  • Works effectively and cooperatively with the Finance Department to ensure agency policies and procedures are followed and budgetary goals are met related to the financial responsibilities of the day program.
  • Plans for and implements day-to-day operations, activity schedules and short-term objectives with optimal use of resources and in accordance with budget

Other duties as may be assigned

  • Handle staff call outs and coverage
  • Attend Frontline Supervisor Training
  • Establish professional and collaborative relationships with all Arc NCR team members
  • Ensure all staff are trained on new PCPs within 20 days after the PCP meeting. Submit Signatures to Case Coordinator
  • Attend individual Pre-PCP meeting as necessary
  • Review and approve NOVAtime daily
  • Review incident reports as necessary
  • Review ICM daily for task completion
  • Communicate with the Assistant Director via text or phone call of any urgent care visits, hospitalizations, vehicle accidents, major staffing issues or concerns and police, fire or ambulance involvement or any calls to 911.
  • Handle situations outside of the everyday 'norm'
