Essential Duties/Responsibilities Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Assist in keeping the shop & yard clean and orderly Diagnoses standard mechanical and electronic problems, utilizing diagnostic computer when applicable Identifies root cause of basic failures/conditions and perform repairs as required Replaces defective components as instructed Performs facility maintenance duties Interacts with customers/drivers to properly determine nature of complaint once assigned a task Utilizes Fleet Management software to generate repair orders Washing equipment, sweeping shop, snow removal, taking care of trash and assisting mechanics in cleanliness of the shop Pick up and deliver parts from vendors to the shop Shuttle employees and equipment as requested Other Duties/Responsibilities Performs other duties as assigned Employees are held accountable for all duties of this job.   Position Requirements Experience: Experience working in a shop setting desired with some mechanical aptitude preferred Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted on a year to year basis Additional Requirements/Licenses/Certifications: A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A is preferred Department of Transportation (DOT) physical certification is required Candidates must pass Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check, a DOT regulated physical as a requirement of the job and pass a pre-employment drug screen.
