VP Application Development- Remote  


The VP Of Application Development directly reports to the CTO and manages several sub teams of application developers within TicketNetwork's Engineering department.

You will have the experience of multiple senior developers and team leads to guide you in learning our existing practices and products along with participating in a leadership group of members from other teams (QC, IT, Database, etc.) who are there to support you.

Your team owns a wide range of web, api, and desktop products with a large userbase, business is good!

Job Responsibilities

The primary responsibility is to foster continuous improvement to the Application Development Team so it evolves as an efficient organization for delivering effective technological solutions to meet the business's needs while providing a healthy environment for team members to grow in.

  • Oversee SDLC practices and coding standards including Security, Code Review, Unit Testing, Source Control, CI\CD, Documentation, Containerization, etc.
  • Perform code reviews (C#) and design reviews. Provide hands on mentoring to junior and senior team members coding and design practices.
  • Innovate by introducing new methodologies, tools, technology to improve our processes and products. Create a roadmap of improvements and drive it, be an agent of change.
  • Manage senior developers and team leads, create reporting structures for effective delegation, mentor developers in technological areas as needed. Ensure healthy workloads and foster a productive and healthy environment for team members to thrive.
  • Manage fully remote, as well as offshore team members.
  • Work with company leaders to establish budgets. Advocate for proper team sizing, resources, training, tooling, etc.
  • Participate in product architecture and design decisions. Collaborate with business and technical leads to assess solutions, costs, and estimate delivery dates.

  • 8+ years application development experience
  • 2+ years technical manager/leadership role
  • Technical Authority on some Microsoft Technologies (.NET, C#, SQL Server, API, Web, Desktop, Azure, etc.)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field of study
