JOB SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Director of Hancock Wellness and Employer Strategy, the Manager of Employer Strategy and Wellness is responsible for general oversight, creation and delivery of programs and services, and staffing of our direct-to-employer health and wellness solutions. The Manager will be responsible for measuring and delivering internal and external employee health and wellness programs and services, building a team to sell, implement, and evaluate our employer-based outcomes, and will coordinate innovative services and solutions by aligning the resources and capabilities of Hancock Wellness Centers, Healthy365, HealthyU, and Hancock Health more broadly.

  • Customer Engagement – Championing Hancock Health Employer Strategies and Solutions as the preferred partner for all employee health and wellness needs by creating and attending events, sales calls, pitches, and executing outreach and relationship building within the broader community of potential employer customers
  • Innovative Service Delivery/Creation – development of programs and services that scale Hancock Health expertise into internal and external employer-focused solutions
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration – the ability to work across departments and multi-disciplinary teams to execute on innovative service delivery
  • Communication – clear dynamic communication to articulate our value proposition to all stakeholders internally and externally, and creating unified messaging around our employer strategy and broader strategic initiatives

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Interviews, hires, orients, trains, evaluates performance, provides feedback, initiates progressive discipline, and makes personnel action recommendations (e.g., promotions, transfers, disciplinary, discharge).
  • Implementation and monitoring of HealthyU – Hancock Health’s internal employee wellness program
  • Coordination of services with HealthyU, Healthy365, Hancock Wellness Centers, and Hancock Health
  • Creation of employer-based marketing and deliverables in concert with Hancock Health Marketing Department
  • Delivery of presentations, pitches, and other engagements to educate and progress relationships with local employers and other stakeholders
  • Oversees creation of programs and services and onsite delivery and implementation – such as annual biometrics screenings, care compliance reporting, deployment of value-added technologies/solution, and new program ideation, evaluation, development, and launch.
  • Delivery of outcomes reporting and quality measures to communicate the value of Hancock Health’s employer strategy services to our customers
  • Responsible for customer satisfaction, prospecting/funnel creation for new opportunities, and works with the Director, Hancock Wellness and Employer Strategy to create budget and staffing recommendations

  • Knowledge of accrediting and regulatory standards (e.g. HFAP, ISDH, CMS, HIPAA).
 
Position Requirements

ADDITIONAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in healthcare, wellness, business administration, or other healthcare related fields
  • Four years’ general management experience in a community, commercial, corporate, or hospital-based setting delivering healthcare and/or wellness programming.
  • Knowledge of employer needs and human resources management considerations that impact health, wellness, and employee benefit decisions
  • Excellent leadership, innovation, communication, and customer-service-related skills.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS:

  • Driving to attend events/conferences/fairs on hospital's behalf.
  • Driving within a 30-mile radius of Hancock Regional Hospital.
