We are seeking a new Business Development Team Member for our Financial Management and Information Technology Division located in the Washington, DC / Northern Virginia area.

The ideal candidates will:

  • Work closely with senior management (division Vice President, Executive Director of Business Development, and Chief Operating Officer) to grow our information technology and cyber security business.
  • Identify new business opportunities and partners that will both grow division revenue and create new company capabilities.
  • Meet with potential customers to present TCG capabilities and understand their requirements.
  • Engage with teaming partners to present TCG capabilities and understand their capabilities.
  • Travel to attend conferences, industry days, and other events to gather information on customer requirements and meet with both potential customers and potential teaming partners.
  • Work with the division Vice President to develop and implement an overall strategy to broaden company information technology skill sets and access new markets.
  • Assist in the development of solutions to customer challenges.
  • Learn to write winning proposals as part of a team.
 
Position Requirements

Required Education, Skills and Experience:

  • At least one year of experience working in a Department of Defense contracting environment.
  • Working knowledge of software development and associated tools.
  • Demonstrated experience in gathering requirements and proposing potential solutions.
  • Strong proficiency in speaking and writing in English; ability to interact and present technical information verbally and in writing to internal and external customers and senior management. A writing sample is required.
  • Energetic and willing to acquire new skills, stay on top of industry trends, and continuously improve.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance.
  • US Citizenship is a prerequisite.

Preferred Education, Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar field.
  • Work experience with the U.S. Navy.
  • Experience in proposal writing, business development, outside marketing and/or sales.
  • At least one year of experience in web development, application development, and/or software architecture.
  • Working knowledge of Web front-end development tools such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Typescript, jQuery, AJAX, JSON etc.
  • Working knowledge of database systems and database development, preferably both SQL and NoSQL. Experience with SQL Server, MySQL, or Oracle.
