Description

The Director, Human Resources provides leadership and guidance to the organization. The Director is responsible for managing and directing human resources policies, procedures, and best practices, and implementing strategic talent management goals.

This position reports to MOBE's General Counsel.

Responsibilities:

  • Drives progress of key performance indicators for the organization's human resource team
  • Researches, develops, and implements competitive compensation planning, benefits, performance appraisal & management, and employee incentive programs
  • Collaborates with leadership to execute the organization's long-term mission and goals; identifies ways to support this mission through talent management
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy
  • Ensures compliance with employment, benefits, insurance, safety, and other laws, regulations, and requirements
  • Works with outside vendors to execute company wide 'pulse surveys' to manage talent retention
  • Maintains knowledge of laws, regulations, and best practices in employment law, human resources, and talent management
  • Participates in professional development and networking conferences and events
  • Other duties as assigned to help drive to our Vision, fulfill our Mission, and abide by MOBE's Guiding Principles

 
Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent
  • 7 – 10 years of human resource management experience, including with strategic talent management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
  • Knowledge of and experience with varied human resource information systems
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred:

  • Masters, MBA or law degree highly preferred
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP strongly preferred
