Description

The Pre-Production Analyst will be responsible for managing and monitoring timing schedules and key tasks related to pre-production vehicle logistics, repair facilities, testing, and serviceability with product owners and other key stakeholders. This position will act in conjunction with the product owners, ensuring all key tasks are identified, tracked, and escalated as necessary to ensure project timing is maintained. This role will lead regular cross functional team meetings with the stakeholders to identify potential issues, and support resolution.

RESPONSIBILITIES & KEY ACTIVITIES:

  • Solid knowledge of timeline development and experience with SmartSheets
  • Ability to work independently and develop vision for program execution (state and maintain critical path)
  • Coordinates activities related to aftersales team involvement with the real estate, logistics, and repair teams, along with other stakeholders.
  • Solid knowledge of cross-functional team operations, including assigning and following up on action items
  • Ability to generate weekly status reports and convey status messages in clear and concise manner by using visual KPI indicators
  • Runs or participates in weekly meetings with other stakeholders to report out on assigned open issues
  • Owns the issues as necessary to drive resolution
  • Ability to represent Service Team/Organization in regional and global meetings
  • Ability to highlight and close escalated/high visibility issues
  • Critical thinking and 8D/RCA problem-solving skills are a plus
  • Coordinates and executes go and see activities at ports of entry, S3 locations and regional headquarters.
  • Schedules product audits at events or at ports of entry
  • Maintains timelines for pre-production tasks
  • Tech savvy and willing to play with latest technology, apps and connected car features

TECHNICAL AND NPI SUPPORT:

  • Acts as a single point of contact for assigned events to ensure timely resolution of issues
  • Serves as a backup (tier 3) support on escalated customer issues
  • Participates in Early Warning Meetings
  • Conducts or participates in NPI events and product improvement programs
 
Position Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5+ years of PM experience; automotive or high-tech industry is a plus
  • Experience in quality, testing, or engineering environment
  • Strong technical and oral communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Project, Smartsheets or similar project tracking tools
  • Appropriate interpersonal styles and communication methods to work effectively with internal and external partners
  • High attention to detail with experience in a startup or fast paced environment is a plus
  • Understanding of automotive industry and IQS ratings
  • Vehicle logistics or vehicle launch experience as an OEM is a plus
  • 25% to 30% Travel, including international trips as necessary
