ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Ensure operation of machinery and equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on, motors, cranes, milling machines, conveyor systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and other production machines as defined by blueprints, technical manuals, or vendor specifications. Ability to read blueprints, sketches, operations manuals, engineering specifications and troubleshooting malfunctions is required. Conduct continuous monitoring of production and process equipment for proper operation. Perform preventive maintenance and repair of production equipment from blueprints, technical manuals, or vendor specifications. Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical and electrical devices in operation; listening for problems; using specialized maintenance tools and electrical measuring devices. Recognize and perform machine adjustments to the various manufacturing machine systems Determining corrective actions based on operational and trouble messages provided by Programmable Logic Controls (PLC) Display Monitors, HMIs, or other similar display panels. Assisting with installation, testing, and validation of new production equipment. Understands, follows, and maintains proper records for Process Safety Management procedures and requirements. Responsible for troubleshooting and repairing electrical malfunctions, and machine breakdowns. Conduct continuous monitoring of process and production equipment for proper operation. Participate in and oversee equipment changeovers as necessary. Notify management of any potential equipment issues or other noted abnormalities. Assist management in training manufacturing employees in the proper use of equipment. Maintain organization of Maintenance Repair Area and any other area where repair work is in progress. Responsible for working at heights, and in outdoor conditions. Utilize computerized maintenance management system for tracking of maintenance checks and repairs. Assist coworkers with production or other tasks as requested.   Position Requirements QUALIFICATIONS The ideal candidate would possess five years industrial maintenance experience. A technical training degree or equivalent experience is a plus. Minimum 4 years of maintenance experience within manufacturing environment. Experience with hydraulics, screw compressors, mechanics, electrical systems and troubleshooting PLCs Experience with robotics a plus Must be able to lift 30 pounds, climb stairs and ladders, and work in tight spaces in and around machinery. Must pass pre-employment drug screen, employment history verification, and records check. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High School Diploma or GED required; 2-year technical degree or any other related certifications or training is a plus PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
