Description

Responsibilities include:

Assists patients in gathering accurate proof of income or proof of no income, proof of insurance, and proof of identification.

Assists patients in completing HW registration and Slide Discount Eligibility application.

Reviews proof of income and size of the family household with the patient to determine patient family income and patient eligibility for the Sliding Fee Discount.

Enters patient demographic data and income data into EMR system to create patient record.

Schedules patients for initial and follow-up appointments as needed.

Provides daily accounting of number of patients interviewed, contacted, and enrolled each day. Reports information to Site Office Manager at the end of each day.

Reviews resource schedule on a daily basis and remain current with tasks.

Identifies patients with slide discount expirations and then follow through with completing all steps of patient re-certifications in a timely manner.

Serves as backup to Front Desk Specialists and assists with other front desk duties as needed.

Registration Assistance Coordinator assigned to the Sterling MHSADS site will initiate referral processing by coordinating appointments with specialists and other community partners. Additionally, this individual will have access to the PCC protocols and follow similar guidelines for referral documentation.

 
Position Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required. Fluent English/Spanish skills required. Must have a positive work history of attendance and punctuality. Cultural competence and experience required. Ability to understand tax returns, bank statements, and pay stubs is required. Recent work experience in a health care setting preferred. Proficient computer skills and exemplary customer service skills required. Medical appointment scheduling, knowledge of medical terminology and experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) is preferred.
