MMCAA is a nonprofit community action agency whose mission is to guide local residents on the path to self-sufficiency through empowerment, education and community enrichment. The early childhood services department provides comprehensive Early Head Start home-based services, Head Start and GSRP preschool services as well as WIC services.

What you will do
Early Childhood Services Program Nurse is a part of the comprehensive services offered to children and families. If you are looking for a change from clinical nursing, the program nurse position offers new and exciting opportunities. The responsibilities of the Program Nurse include:
Develop and maintain procedures for documentation, multi-disciplinary team information, and tracking systems for Health and Nutrition.
Supervision of Health and Nutrition Staff.
Work with staff to develop health and nutrition plans for children.
Collaborate with staff in the documentation, implementation, and monitoring of the Health and Nutrition.
Provide health and nutrition support to children, families, and staff.
Provide medical procedures as needed in classrooms and on site.
Provide full-service support for enrolled Pregnant women.
What we will love about you
Registered or licensed nurse. (RN or LPN)
Mental Health experience a plus.
Pregnant Women experience a plus.
Minimum of 5 years effective supervisory skills.
Prenatal and Birth to 5 experience preferred.
Certified Lactation Consultant or obtain within 1 year of hire.
Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively.
Demonstrated ability as a strength-based leader.
Demonstrated ability to present information to community groups.
Initiative, flexibility, creativity and enthusiasm.
Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work cooperatively as a team leader and a team member.
Good communication and organizational skills and be able to work effectively with people.
Self-directed and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to prioritize and complete tasks in order to deliver desired outcomes within allocated time frames.
Willing to accept new challenges.

$2,500.00 for new RFT employees to be paid out as follows
$500.00 at time of hire (first paycheck)
$500.00 at successful completion of 90 days (removed from provisional status)
$1500.00 at successful completion of full year of employment
